【Presentation Report】Sharing the Future of Disaster Preparedness at Fukuoka Growth Pitch

August 7 – Delivering New Perspectives on Disaster Preparedness from Fukuoka

On August 7, 2025, SAKIGAKE JAPAN took the stage at the 104th Fukuoka Growth Pitch, held at Fukuoka Growth Next (FGN) in Tenjin, Fukuoka City. The theme of the session was “Disaster Preparedness Tech.” Around 100 participants joined onsite and online to hear the presentations.

Showcasing Ideas and Our Approach

The event gathered a wide range of promising startups, each presenting ideas and services refined in their own fields. We shared the technologies and expertise we have developed through years of working in disaster response, as well as our efforts to expand these solutions both in Japan and abroad.

Since our founding, we have always looked toward global expansion, taking care not to rely on a single technology but instead offering flexible solutions tailored to our clients’ real challenges. This approach appeared to resonate with many participants, providing them with a refreshing perspective.

Media Interest and the Reality of “Disaster Now”

We were fortunate to receive inquiries from a local TV station for an interview following the event. With September designated as Japan’s “Disaster Preparedness Month,” it was clear that expectations for companies like ours to share knowledge and insights are rising.

Just days before the event, heavy rainfall from a linear rainband hit many parts of Kyushu, triggering evacuation orders and emergency warnings. Traveling to the venue, we were reminded once again that disaster preparedness is not an abstract idea—it is something that is happening right now.

Toward Everyday Preparedness

At SAKIGAKE JAPAN, our guiding principle is what we call “disaster preparedness without extra effort.” It means embedding readiness naturally into everyday life and work—not only through large-scale preparations or on special occasions. By doing so, people and organizations can act calmly and effectively when a real emergency occurs.

Our participation in Fukuoka was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and build new partnerships. We look forward to turning these connections into concrete actions at future sites and projects.
