[Upcoming Appearance] SAKIGAKE JAPAN to Join the 104th Growth Pitch: “Disaster Tech Special Edition”

Introduction – From the Frontlines of Disaster Prevention: Connecting Technologies and Collaboration in Fukuoka

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, SAKIGAKE JAPAN is scheduled to appear at the 104th Growth Pitch, held at Fukuoka Growth Next. This special edition focuses on disaster prevention technologies, bringing together municipalities, startups, and companies for a practical, solution-oriented business matching event. Ahead of Disaster Prevention Month (September), we will present new ideas on how to “prepare for the future” from the perspective of technology, policy, and collaboration.

About Growth Pitch

Growth Pitch is a startup pitch event that fosters partnerships between startups and enterprises, government agencies, investors, and media. It is organized by Fukuoka Growth Next and Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC, with support from the Fukuoka City Citizens Bureau and major regional economic organizations.

This 104th session highlights disaster tech, featuring a diverse lineup of startups with technologies for mountainous, maritime, and urban regions.

About Our Participation and Presentation Focus

At SAKIGAKE JAPAN, our disaster response strategy centers around the concept of “Phase-Free Disaster Preparedness” — meaning preparedness that is integrated into everyday life. Our pitch will focus on the following three key areas:

① Real-Time Visualization of Disaster Risks

We will introduce our AI/cloud-based platforms such as Water Vision and DIPPS Cloud, which allow for early detection of heavy rainfall and landslide risks, supporting on-the-ground evacuation decisions through intuitive dashboards.

② Autonomous Infrastructure for Disaster-Affected Areas

We will showcase emergency support products like the Cold Storage Box Portable, which can operate via solar power even during blackouts to store medicines and food safely, and the Heli‑Portable, a deployable helipad system that enables air transport in areas with collapsed roads.

③ Human Resource Development and Regional Collaboration

We will propose a model for training local government staff and company safety officers using our Disaster Countermeasure Certification Program, along with initiatives such as community disaster preparedness apps and resident-participation training workshops.

Closing – Disaster Preparedness in the Era of Collaboration

As earthquakes, torrential rains, and other natural hazards become more frequent, disaster preparedness can no longer be addressed by a single municipality or company. That’s why collaborative, cross-sector approaches are more essential than ever.

Through this event, we aim to deepen partnerships with stakeholders and build practical, innovative disaster prevention frameworks for the future. We will share a follow-up report on this blog after our presentation.
We look forward to meeting you — on-site or online!
