[Exhibition Report] World Bosai Forum 2025 in Sendai

In March 2025, SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. participated in the World Bosai Forum 2025, held in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. This year, we had the privilege of exhibiting in collaboration with the Disaster Management Training Center Support Association (DMTC-SA), affiliated with the University of Tokyo. The joint exhibition provided us with a valuable opportunity to engage with a wide range of professionals in the disaster risk reduction (DRR) field.

The forum welcomed over 1,200 registered participants from around the world, with more than 5,000 attendees over the three days. As one of the largest international events in disaster preparedness, it brought together government agencies, local authorities, research institutions, and private sector organizations, all working toward a more resilient future. We were honored to be part of this vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations.

■ Joint Exhibition with the University of Tokyo’s DMTC-SA

At our booth, we introduced the “Disaster Management Specialist” program, which focuses on fostering skilled professionals who can contribute to both emergency response and long-term preparedness. Our booth attracted a continuous stream of visitors, and we had the chance to share our efforts in promoting this educational framework. SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. is committed to strengthening disaster education through industry-academia collaboration.

■ Meaningful Conversations and Global Connections

Throughout the forum, we welcomed visitors from various sectors, including businesses, municipalities, academic institutions, media, and international organizations. Many meaningful conversations took place, especially with representatives from governments and companies offering DRR services. These discussions highlighted the growing expectations for private-sector innovation in disaster risk management.

■ Encouraged by “We Know SAKIGAKE!”

One of the most rewarding aspects of this exhibition was hearing comments like, “We know SAKIGAKE—we’ve been wanting to talk to you.” These moments made us realize that our efforts are gradually gaining recognition. It was a reaffirmation that our initiatives are on the right track, and we deeply appreciate the support we’ve received from so many people.

■ Looking Ahead

The insights and connections gained from the World Bosai Forum will be actively applied to our ongoing work. SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. will continue to collaborate with domestic and international partners to deliver innovative solutions for disaster preparedness, business continuity planning (BCP), and risk management. We sincerely thank you for your continued support and guidance.
