On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the “Selected Companies × Support Partners Networking Event” was held as part of the “Global South GX Promotion Project,” advanced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Public Service Corporation. This networking event doubled as a mid-term progress report for the project, and became a valuable space for co-creation, bringing together selected companies tackling decarbonization and challenge-solving in Global South countries with the support partners who back their local deployment and business development.
In this post, we report on the day’s timetable, each company’s presentation content, and an overview of our own pitch!
■ Networking Event Timetable and Venue Atmosphere
The networking event was held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Following opening remarks, 12 selected companies each delivered a fast-paced “lightning pitch” of 2.5 minutes.
The venue was divided into groups A through J, with each group seating selected companies alongside support partners covering areas such as comprehensive support, legal affairs, tax, and risk mitigation. A total of 19 support partner organizations participated — including consulting firms, business corporations, financial institutions, international organizations, and specialists — and the networking session following the pitches saw highly engaged, one-on-one discussions focused on solving each company’s challenges.
■ SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp.’s Presentation (Indonesia)
SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. presented on our initiative, the “Off-Grid Seafood Cold Chain Transport System,” which is being advanced as a project selected under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Global South GX Promotion Project.”
In unelectrified remote islands and coastal areas of Indonesia, cold storage for seafood relying on ice and diesel generators is common, giving rise to challenges such as rising fuel costs, CO₂ emissions, and loss of freshness. SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. is advancing the development of an off-grid cold chain that integrates everything from on-board cold storage immediately after catch, to the operation of cold-storage hubs on remote islands, to land transport to the mainland and markets — by combining solar power generation, storage batteries, PCM (specialized thermal storage material), and highly insulated boxes.

■ The Diverse GX Solutions of the Presenting Companies
During the lightning pitches, advanced technologies across a wide range of domains — energy efficiency, bio-based fuels, wind power, solar power, drones, and resource circulation — were presented, targeting Global South countries including those in Southeast Asia.
1. Dyna-Air Co., Ltd. (Vietnam)
Theme: Application of liquid desiccant air conditioning systems
Overview: Validating the performance of compact liquid desiccant outdoor air handling units through installation (demonstration/commercialization phase). Leveraging strengths in high-precision humidity control and sterilization, the company aims to enhance customer outreach in collaboration with support partners.
2. Green Power Development Corporation of Japan (Vietnam)
Theme: Building a refining and supply system for cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL)
Overview: Building a system to refine and supply CNSL, a byproduct, as a renewable biofuel (feasibility study phase). The company aims to expand sales channels and applications that can appeal to environmental value.
3. REVO International Inc. (Vietnam)
Theme: International certification acquisition for GX fuel derived from jatropha, and building a domestic demonstration base
Overview: Acquiring ISCC international certification for biofuel made from the non-edible crop jatropha, and organizing import schemes (demonstration phase). Promoting expanded collaboration with partners who have strengths in certification acquisition know-how and supply chain development.
4. Challenergy Inc. (Philippines)
Theme: Introduction of independent-power small wind turbines
Overview: Selecting demonstration sites and preparing local prototypes for independent power infrastructure development in island regions (master plan/feasibility study phase). Exploring matching with local government agencies, municipalities, and manufacturing partners.
5. Sustech, Inc. (Philippines)
Theme: Building an AI-integrated renewable energy GX model
Overview: Integrating the AI system “ELIC” into solar power facilities to optimize power sales strategy and operations (master plan/feasibility study phase). Expecting support with local tax, legal, and regulatory compliance, as well as network building.
6. Soramitsu CBDC Co., Ltd. (Bangladesh)
Theme: Spreading AWD farming methods and returning environmental value via digital currency
Overview: A model for methane reduction through AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) and value return via blockchain-based digital currency (feasibility study/demonstration phase). Seeking cooperation in approaching local governments and central banks, and in fundraising.
7. Aeronext Inc. (Mongolia, Vietnam)
Theme: Contributing to decarbonization through drone delivery, among other means
Overview: Reducing CO2 through the use of drone delivery as an alternative to vehicle transport (master plan/feasibility study/demonstration phase). Hoping to collaborate on supply chain development for local mass production and on green economy policy.
8. komham inc. (Thailand, Singapore)
Theme: Decomposition and composting technology for organic waste using microorganisms
Overview: Demonstration using microorganisms that rapidly decompose food waste, and operational optimization through continuous operation (master plan/feasibility study phase). Recruiting partners to develop sales channels and serve as sales agents for expansion into Thailand and other markets.
9. Zephyr Corporation (Egypt, Saudi Arabia)
Theme: Introduction of low-pressure wind turbines
Overview: Introducing distributed renewable energy solutions (master plan/feasibility study phase). Promoting the creation of local partners among end users, local construction companies, and regulatory support providers.
Conclusion
Through this networking event, we had the valuable opportunity to meet face-to-face and exchange views directly with fellow companies selected under the same Tokyo Metropolitan GX Project, as well as with the support partners.
