Encounters and Dialogue with Diverse Visitors

At the SAKIGAKE JAPAN booth, themed “Autonomous, Decentralized, and Phase-Free Advanced Disaster-Resilience Technologies,” we showcased several core solutions, including off-grid portable refrigeration/freezer units and AI-driven climate risk forecasting systems. Over the course of three days, we were honored to welcome a wide range of professionals such as:

  • Municipal officials in charge of crisis management and disaster prevention
  • Corporate BCP and risk management officers
  • Procurement officers from the Japan Self-Defense Forces and other defense institutions
  • Researchers and educators from crisis management organizations

We received significant interest in how civil disaster-resilience technologies could be adapted to defense and crisis-response operations, generating productive exchanges and discussions.

New Connections in the Defense and Security Market

One of the most notable outcomes of this exhibition was the opportunity to establish new connections within the defense and national security sectors. In Japan, collaboration between disaster prevention and defense has been accelerating, as expectations grow for private-sector technologies that can provide resilience and sustainability in emergency environments.
Particular attention was given to the following innovations:

  • Heli Portable: a compact, suitcase-sized mobile night heliport lighting kit, deployable anywhere
  • Cold Storage Box Portable: a mobile off-grid refrigeration/freezer system capable of continuous operation in unstable power environments
  • DiPPS CLOUD: a disaster intelligence platform visualizing multi-hazard risks, including landslides, through historical and real-time analysis

Building on these insights, SAKIGAKE JAPAN will continue exploring partnerships and applications in defense and national security, fostering collaboration with stakeholders across multiple sectors.

Presentation Report: “The Challenge of Crisis-Management Startups”

During the exhibition, our CEO, Munetoshi Kondo, delivered a presentation in the Startup Zone titled “Enhancing Corporate Resilience through Disaster and BCP Solutions.” He discussed the company’s initiatives in AI- and IoT-based climate risk countermeasures, BCP (Business Continuity Planning) support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the development of disaster-resilient infrastructure designed for collaboration with local governments and defense entities.
The session drew considerable engagement from attendees, offering a realistic and forward-looking discussion on how to implement disaster resilience in society through public-private collaboration.

Appreciation and Future Direction

We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and attended our presentation over the three-day event. Moving forward, SAKIGAKE JAPAN will continue to advance its mission of “Delivering Japan’s Advanced Disaster-Resilience Technologies to the World,” developing integrated solutions that transcend the boundaries of disaster prevention, defense, and crisis management.
