Exhibition Report: SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025 – From the Frontlines of Disaster Prevention to the Future of Urban Living

From May 8 (Thu) to May 10 (Sat), 2025, SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corp. exhibited at “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025” held at Tokyo Big Sight. Organized by the Executive Committee comprising the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and economic organizations, this event is one of Asia’s largest international exhibitions, bringing together startups, municipalities, researchers, and companies from around the world under the theme of “Sustainable High City Tech.”

As a company specializing in disaster prevention and resilience, we participated in this event with the perspective of contributing to urban safety and sustainability through both technology and education. This report reflects on the exhibition, introduces our showcased products and initiatives, and discusses future prospects.

A Continuous Stream of Visitors to Our Booth

From the first day to the last, our booth welcomed numerous visitors from both domestic and international backgrounds. We sensed a growing trend where companies increasingly recognize disaster countermeasures as a “management strategy” rather than a “department-specific issue,” especially in light of rising urban disaster risks and the need to address uncertainties brought by climate change.

Highlights of SAKIGAKE JAPAN’s Exhibits

Our exhibition focused on the following solutions, accompanied by photos of actual implementations. Many visitors appreciated the versatility of these solutions, applicable in both normal and emergency situations. We not only secured multiple business deals but also received opportunities for recruitment and partnership collaborations.

  1. Climate Vision / Water Vision (AI Disaster Risk Visualization Platform)
Utilizing AI and cloud-based analysis engines, this platform visualizes weather and flood risks in real-time for each region. Particularly, municipalities and infrastructure companies expressed interest in using it for “preemptive river flood detection” and as “data to support evacuation decisions.”
  2. Heliportable (Portable Heliport)
A portable heliport night lighting set that enables rapid mass air transport in situations where land and sea routes are blocked.
  3. Cold Storage Box Portable (Portable Refrigerator/Freezer)
A solar-powered refrigeration solution that maintains cooling functions even during power outages. It is utilized for food preservation at event venues and for storing medical supplies at evacuation centers and temporary facilities during disasters.
  4. Aster Power Coating (Seismic-Resistant Coating)
A coating solution that enhances the seismic resistance of structures, contributing to disaster mitigation efforts.

Strengthening Partnerships with Collaborating Companies

We received support and visits from many partner companies during the exhibition. Notably, Mr. Goto, President of Cold Storage Japan, stood with us at our booth, allowing us to deeply introduce the possibilities of logistics infrastructure and refrigerated transport during disasters. His words, “Let’s work together again!” were truly motivating. Disaster response is a field where the value of “collaboration” is tested, and we aim to deepen such co-creation relationships in future projects.

Reflecting on the Event: Urban Safety Lies in the Continuation of Daily Life

Urban infrastructure, disaster prevention, energy, mobility, healthcare—”SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025″ served as a comprehensive knowledge intersection addressing various urban challenges through technology. We are convinced that the role of disaster prevention specialists like us will continue to expand in such contexts.

Disaster countermeasures should not be seen as “extraordinary” but rather as an extension of “everyday life.” They should be systems that are “naturally” prepared during normal times, not technologies used only in special circumstances. Our products and initiatives aim to support such “disaster prevention integrated into daily life.”

In Conclusion

We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and engaged with us. For the future of cities, disaster prevention is both “social infrastructure” and a “theme of co-creation.” SAKIGAKE JAPAN will continue to explore the possibilities of “disaster prevention × technology” with domestic and international partners. We look forward to meeting you again at the next event.
